Servus Credit Union is looking for a casual Event Driver for the Edmonton and North area. This position will be offering 1-2 events per week. Service Provider will provide trailer towing services as outlined below.

Duties to include:

Pick up trailer from storage facility located at Servus Corporate Centre at 151 Karl Clark Road, Edmonton Alberta prior to the events outlined or from any address specified by Servus.

Service Provider will ensure that the vehicle used to tow the trailer is fully equipped with all necessary equipment and features to tow and that the size, length, and weight of the trailer is within the vehicles towing specifications.

Prior to moving the trailer(regardless of where the trailer is picked up from) the Service Provider will:

• Perform a safety inspection which may include but is not limited to: tire pressure check, brake light check, turn signal check, and will ensure all other safety equipment is used and in good working condition including the wiring harness and safety chains
• Notify Servus immediately if there are any safety concerns with the trailer and the Service Provider will not move the trailer should any safety issues be discovered that make the trailer unsafe for travel
• Inspect the trailer for any signs of damage and immediately report damage to Servus including pictures prior to moving the trailer

Service Provider will deliver the trailer to each event at the day and time that is provided by Servus.

Service Provider will be responsible for trailer setup including but not limited to leveling the trailer, stabilizing jacks, chalk blocks, starting and filling up the generator, and testing air conditioning.

Service Provider will be responsible for cleaning the exterior and interior of the trailer when visibly dirty or when directed by a Servus representative.

Service Provider will pick up the trailer and deliver it back to the storage facility located at Servus Corporate Centre, Edmonton Alberta after each event unless directed otherwise by Servus.

The driver must provide his/her driver's abstract.

The driver must be the registered owner of a minimum of half ton truck in excellent working order.

The driver is responsible to keep his/her truck clean, presentable and in good maintenance.

Servus may request movement of the trailer outside of the events listed below. In such cases, Servus and Service Provider will mutually agree on additional services required and the fees and expenses listed in Schedule A will apply to all additional services.

Duration and Frequency:

The actual pick up/drop off date, time, address info, on-site contact info, will be sent to Service Provider prior to each event or request for movement of trailer. The actual pick up/drop off days may range from one to two days per week during the course of the summer commencing in May and ending in September. 

Fees:

Fees will be $300.00 per day of the event. 

Expenses for travel will only apply to events outside of the City of Edmonton and must be pre-approved by Servus.

Expenses:

Travel and living expenses will be invoiced at cost and will conform to Servus' expense policies and guidelines and will be billed according to the table below. All approved invoices and expense reimbursements shall be paid to the Service Provider by Servus no later than thirty (30) days after the receipt of invoice, and accompanied by supporting vouchers or receipts where appropriate.
