As a member of a dynamic Retail team, the Member Service Representative (MSR) plays an integral role in the delivery of superior personalized service to our member-owners. They facilitate a variety of member transactions and build long term relationships with members by building trust and demonstrating credibility, reliability and integrity. MSR's respond to member and potential member inquiries, analyze and identify needs and then present or refer the product or service which best meet those needs. They actively participate in individual, branch and corporate campaigns. This position supports our corporate branch by creating an environment in which our members feel at home, perceive our staff as knowledgeable, and view Service Credit Union as a corporate citizen. As an ambassador of our Credit Union you strive for excellence as an MSR, and play a vital role in enhancing the financial well-being of our members, and the growth and profitability of our credit union.

Initial employment would be on a casual basis with no minimum guarantee of hours per week serving branches within the city of Calgary as well as our branches in the communities of Okotoks and High River as part of our MSR relief pool. Advantages to working in the pool include the opportunity to make an impression on different supervisors and managers, increasing your network of colleagues, and giving you the time to find a branch where you really enjoy working.

When Servus recruits to specific branches we make the positions available to pool staff first. There is no minimum or maximum amount of time you must spend in the pool. Many of Servus' employees have started their careers as a MSR, so this entry level position is a great opportunity to start your financial career!

Four weeks paid training is provided.

Principal Duties:

• Accurately processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, conducting other transactions and balancing your day's work
• Cross selling, promoting and supporting Servus Credit Union's products & service campaigns
• Finding innovative ways to provide outstanding service in an accurate & efficient manner
• Learning and applying knowledge of policies, procedures, and security guidelines

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in sales, customer service, product promotion, and cash handling are desirable
• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in retail/customer service is an asset
• Minimum of grade twelve (12) education is required, a business degree, diploma or certificate is an asset
• Strong communication, both verbal and written are required
• Sound knowledge and confidence using Microsoft Office, Windows based software, Outlook and the Internet are also considerable assets
• Full availability required, Monday through Saturday
• Available to travel to various branches within the City of Calgary as well as to branches located in Okotoks and High River
• Candidates must have credit in good standing and must be bondable
