Account alerts

Your accounts can never be too safe.

Alerts are an easy way to keep track of your money and protect your accounts. Use them to receive automatic notifications by email when certain events happen or when changes are made to your online banking account.

We offer three different types of alerts. You can choose which ones you receive and how often you receive them.

  • Account alerts let you know when important events happen to one of your accounts, like when a large transaction occurs or your balance reaches a certain amount.
  • Scheduled alerts are alerts that you receive on a regular basis (e.g., weekly balance notices).
  • Event alerts let you know when something happens with your online banking security (e.g., password changes). They help you monitor your online account for suspicious activity.

We recommend that you receive alerts for account events and large transactions as a way to enhance your online security.

Getting started

Email alerts are part of online banking. If you're not already registered for online banking, call us or visit the nearest Servus branch.

  1. Sign in to online banking.
  2. Select Self Serve at the top of the page, under your name.
  3. Choose "Set my online banking alerts" under Security Settings.
  4. Submit, change or verify your email address in the My Settings tab.
  5. Manage your alerts through the My Alerts tab. You can customize each alert to suit your specific needs and preferences.

Check your email for a message from Servus Alerts. Follow the instructions to confirm your registration. Your alerts won't be activated until your email is confirmed.

You can unsubscribe from an alert or change it at any time through online banking.

Can I receive alerts by text message instead of email?

We only offer email alerts right now. Text alerts are an enhancement we're working on and hope to introduce soon.

Can I set up my alerts in mobile banking?

Our alerts function is only available in online banking.

What if my email address changes?

You can change the email address you use for alerts in online banking.
