Servus partners with Edmonton Eskimos

Back to News releases and announcements

(Edmonton) – The Edmonton Eskimos and Servus Credit Union announce a three-year partnership, making Servus Credit Union the official “un-bank” of the Green and Gold and 2018 Grey Cup Festival.

All Edmonton Eskimos home games will now feature a VIP Servus Credit Union member entrance at Gate 9, providing priority access for fans who present their Servus cards. Servus members will also benefit from priority lines at concession #2 near Section J on the west side of the stadium and concession #7 near Section Q on the east side of the stadium.

“We are thrilled to partner with an organization who also continually strives to improve the community we live and work in, while focusing on long-term grassroots relationships with our customers” says Len Rhodes, President and CEO of the Edmonton Eskimos. “This partnership also includes sponsorship of the 2018 Grey Cup Festival, where the city will be celebrating on Jasper Avenue. We like Servus Credit Union’s approach so much, that we are transferring our Football Club’s operating bank account there,” added Rhodes.

Each home game, the “un-bank” will give away 50 tickets to Servus members to cheer on the Edmonton Eskimos. Servus Credit Union also becomes the presenting partner of the Green and Gold Hospitality Room – a climate-controlled game-day experience that has been a staple for premium hosting at Eskimos games since 1978. The Green and Gold Hospitality Room, presented by Servus Credit Union, features top-level food and beverage catered by the Sawmill Restaurant Group, a parking pass for members, access to the Eskimos Directors Club and the option to watch game action indoors on larger-than-life screens.

"We are proud to partner with a likeminded organization that has the principles of community and fitness at its core — for the Esks it is physical fitness; and for Servus it is financial fitness" says Gail Stepanik-Keber, Chief Brand, Digital Banking and Corporate Social Responsibility Officer for Servus Credit Union. "Both organizations are also strong regional brands that love to challenge complacency at every turn and are excellent corporate citizens."

The 2018 Grey Cup Festival is also thrilled to welcome Servus Credit Union onboard as a Gold Partner – helping to bring exciting activations to fans in the week leading up to the championship game on November 25.
