Our 2018 annual general meeting was held on Wednesday, March 7 at the Hyatt Regency in Calgary.

Servus member-owners elected the following five members to the Board of Directors:

• Danielle Ghai
• Iris Evans
• Darcy Mykytyshyn
• Matthew Protti
• Doug Hastings

Members voted to fill 5 vacancies on the board this year instead of the usual 4. One of our directors, Penny Reeves, passed away in 2017, leaving the 5th vacancy. The director who received the 5th highest number of votes will serve the remaining 2 years of the original term, which expires in 2020.

These directors were elected to three- and two-year terms, as noted below. Their terms began immediately after results were declared. Here are the full election results:

Danielle Ghai – Elected (4-year term): 1,693

Iris Evans – Elected (4-year term): 1,609

Darcy Mykytyshyn – Elected (4-year term): 1,322

Matthew Protti – Elected (3-year term): 1,280

Doug Hastings – Elected (2-year term): 1,272

Bernie Klammer: 864

Rene George: 752

Derrick Olesen: 747

The difference in term lengths is due to a bylaw change in 2017.
