Garth Warner, President and Chief Executive Officer of Servus Credit Union, announced the appointment of Atul Varde as Chief Information and Payments Officer.

"I'm pleased to welcome Atul as the newest member of the Executive Leadership Team that we are reshaping as part of a carefully planned transition to ensure continued, capable leadership to guide our credit union into the future," stated Mr. Warner. "His extensive background in information technology coupled with his deep expertise in payments and financial services will help us achieve our purpose – shaping member financial fitness."

Mr. Varde comes to Servus from Vancouver City Savings Credit Union, where he spent the last two years in executive roles, most recently as Senior Vice President - Digital Solutions and Business Technology. Mr. Varde also spent more than eight years at Affinity Credit Union as Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer. Overall, he has spent more than 20 years as a technology solutions and strategy leader in various areas of financial services. Servus is fortunate that Mr. Varde has chosen our credit union as the next step in a career full of notable accomplishments and significant contributions to the payments, technology, and information services areas of the financial services industry.

He will start with Servus on June 8, 2020 and will enjoy several weeks of support from Servus’s current Chief Information Officer, Yves Auger. Following a well-deserved extended vacation, Mr. Auger will return to Servus Credit Union in his new role as Senior Vice President, Payments and Strategic Solutions.
